Smoking vs. Non-smoking…

The latest trend or change in culture is the adoption of a non-smoking policy for your favorite eatery.  A lot of states have bans on smoking in public places already.  Virginia has one for smoking in lines.  You’ll notice this when you’re in line at the grocery store or at the bank, for instance.  A lot is changing for us and for the better.

Trio downtown has a nice setting with fine food and drink.  Trio was non-smoking from the beginning, but there is at least one other favorite in Roanoke to recently go non-smoking.

419 West went non-smoking around two to three weeks ago.  A good friend of mine and co-worker doesn’t want to go there anymore because of it - he’s a heavy smoker.  Most of my friends are smokers and I generally tolerate hanging out with them and their smoking habit.  419 West has great food and now you can enjoy it without unwillingly inhaling cigarette smoke.
