The Roanoke Reviewer is exactly what you might think it is.  It is a site dedicated to reviewing just about anything around the greater Roanoke, Virginia area.  I have a nasty habit of not venturing too far and frequenting the same eateries over and over.  Because of that, I get a very good cross-section of how these establishments run their businesses.

Most of the places around here seem to be fairly consistent.  It is because of their consistency I continue to frequent them.  If the atmosphere goes down hill rapidly or just has a seemingly downward trend, then I move on to somewhere else.  I figure if I’m paying good money for that dish that could be enough for 3 people and paying upwards of $4.50 a glass for beer, then I deserve what I expect.  The beer needs to be cold, the wine chilled as appropriate, the food savory and inviting, and the atmosphere has to pull me in.  If there are too many bar flies and ghetto trash, I’ll likely avoid that business.
